Rubel gains against dollar, yuan ahead of weekend
October 18, Pozirk. The rubel has appreciated against the US and Chinese currencies at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange, reaching 3.2948 per dollar and 4.6389 per 10 yuan.
In today’s trading, it fell to 3.412 per 100 Russian rubles. There was no trading in euros, with EUR/BYN at 3.606 since October 16.
In the outgoing week (October 14–18), the rubel lost 0.35 percent against the greenback but gained 0.39 percent against the EU currency, 0.68 percent against the Chinese currency and 0.41 percent against the Russian currency.
It lost 1.06 percent against the dollar in the first nine months of 2024.
