At least 10 Russian drones spotted over Belarus – reports

November 10, Pozirk. Ten out of 145 military drones that Russia used to attack Ukraine last night, left Ukrainian airspace for Belarus, Moldova and Russia, the Ukrainian Air Force reported.

The defense monitoring group Biełaruski Hajun reported at least 10 drone incursions from Ukraine overnight. Some of them briefly entered Belarusian airspace before turning around, it noted. One of the drones spotted over Belarus reportedly turned towards Ukraine’s Chernihiv region before heading to Russia.

At least three UAVs went missing in the Homiel region’s Brahin, Mazyr and Jelsk districts. Belarusian military aircraft did not take off to intercept the drones.

Drone incursions into Belarus have been regularly reported over the past four months as Russians attack Ukraine.

In early September, Belarusian air defenses downed several drones over Homiel. Later, Alaksandar Łukašenka admitted drone incursions and claimed that Belarusian air defenses shoot down UAVs regardless of their Russian or Ukrainian origin.

Recently, authorities refused to introduce additional security measures in Homiel region’s Chojniki district, whose residents were concerned about their children’s safety amid Russian drone incursions, according to petitions.by.
