Biełstat: consumer prices up 4.3 percent since January

November 13, Pozirk. Consumer prices’ growth accelerated to 0.5 percent in October, the National Statistical Committee (Biełstat) reports.

Food prices grew by 0.7 percent, while non-food prices and services grew by 0.3 percent.

Since the start of 2024, prices have climbed by 4.3 percent.

In annual terms, consumer prices rose by 5.9 percent compared to the October 2023 level: food, by 7.2 percent; non-food products, by 4.1 percent; services, by 6 percent.

The government projected a 6-percent increase this year with 5 percent expected for 2025.
