Łukašenka appoints deputy prime minister, communications minister

March 3, Pozirk. Alaksandar Łukašenka has promoted Hrodna region’s governor Uładzimir Karanik, a former health minister, to deputy prime minister in charge of the social sector, Pul Pergovo, the Belarusian ruler’s unofficial Telegram channel reported.

Kirył Zaleski, a Hi-Tech Park executive, has been named minister of communications and information technologies, it added.

The announcement comes as the Belarusian ruler picks new ministers to the cabinet after its formal resignation on February 3 following January’s presidential election.
