New communications minister: manager with diplomatic background

March 3, Pozirk. Kirył Zaleski, 45, who takes over as communications minister, is a former Hi-Tech Park executive with a diplomatic background.

A graduate of Russia’s prestigious Moscow Institute of International Relations, Zaleski worked at the Belarusian embassy to South Korea from 2002 to 2008, moving on to the foreign ministry’s Asia desk for the three subsequent years and returning to the embassy in Seoul until 2016.

From 2018 to 2023, he was in charge of communications and international cooperation at the Hi-Tech Park, set up two decades ago to promote the IT sector.
