Lithuanian security chief warns of intensified KGB activities

November 27, Pozirk. Lithuanian security services recorded an unprecedentedly high level of the Committee for State Security’s (KGB) activities, said Darius Jauniškis who heads Lithuania’s State Security Department.

The intensified activities of the Belarusian security forces have reached their record highs, he stressed in his interview broadcast by LRT on November 26.

Lithuanian intelligence services have suspicions with regard to some Belarusian national staying in the country, he added.

Lithuanian security forces have not recorded any attempts by unfriendly countries to recruit government officials, civil servants or politicians, Jauniškis noted.
